Comprehensive Multiplayer Weapon Overhaul In Latest MW3 Update

Several weapons such as the Kastov 545, Cronen Squall, WSP Swarm, MCW, Holger 556, Bruen Mk9, and DM56 have seen damage changes in the update. Additionally, there have been map updates, including reworked Hardpoint capture point locations.

In terms of new content, players can now enjoy the new Rio (6v6) map, an Operator named A-Train and Firecracker, and exciting new game modes such as Headquarters, Team Gunfight, and Infected. Furthermore, new weapons like the TAQ Evolvere (LMG) and HRM-9 (SMG) have been introduced.

The update also brings an all-new mode called Supe Siege in MW3 Multiplayer, inspired by The Boys TV series. There are six challenges to complete in The Boys: Supe Siege Event Challenge, with a mastery reward of “The Boys Special” LMG Weapon Blueprint.

Other changes include adjustments to global customization, MW3 Multiplayer UIX, and gameplay improvements such as disallowing spectating in third-person perspective in certain modes and addressing misleading attachment descriptions in Gunsmith.The changes that have been made to the game:

– Enemy Remote Turret, Wheelson-HS, and Chopper Gunner Killstreaks will now disable nearby spawn points.
– Fixed issues that prevented progression of several Challenges.
– Resolved a bug in which players would not receive Prestige Emblems upon reaching the requirements.
– Corrected unlock requirements displayed for several Weapons and Attachments.
– One Shot, One Kill score event is no longer awarded when an elimination is achieved with two Handguns.
– Added missing Mastery Emblems for the MTZ-762 (Battle Rifle).
– Priceless Camo challenge for the Stormender (Launcher) can now be completed.
– Kitchen Control capture point can no longer be contested from the Main Room in Estate map.
– Addressed exploits that allowed players to access unintended locations in Derail map.
– Garbage bins near the Elevators will no longer open and obstruct the line of sight in Highrise map.
– Reworked Hardpoint capture point locations, sizes, and associated spawn points in multiple maps.
– Improved collision to prevent the Recon Drone (Field Upgrade) from accessing unintended locations near the Back Alley and Playground in Skidrow map.
– Addressed exploits that allowed players to access unintended locations in Sub Base map and Reworked Hardpoint capture point locations, sizes, and associated spawn points in the same map.
– Addressed multiple exploits that allowed players to access unintended locations in Terminal map and Reworked Hardpoint capture point locations, sizes, and associated spawn points in the same map.
– Reworked Hardpoint capture point locations, sizes, and associated spawn points in Underpass map.

– Using a Field Upgrade will no longer cause it to become disabled for the remainder of the match in Infected mode.
– Deployable Cover Field Upgrade will no longer fail to deploy upon attempted placement in Infected mode.
– Sliding while planting or defusing a bombsite will now put the player into the crouch position rather than standing in Search and Destroy mode.

Weapon and attachment adjustments:

– SVA 545: Increased maximum damage from 29 to 30 (+3%).
– Holger 556: Increased sprint to fire time from 231ms to 252ms (+9%).
– DG-56: Decreased maximum damage range from 35.6m to 20.3m (-43%) and decreased medium damage range from 44.5m to 30.5m (-31%).
– FR 5.56: Increased medium damage from 36 to 40 (+11%).
– MCW: Increased sprint to fire time from 220ms to 241ms (+10%).
– 16.5″ MCW Cyclone Long Barrel: Various adjustments including decreased damage range benefit by 6% and decreased bullet velocity benefit by 7%.
– RB Regal Heavy Stock: Various adjustments including decreased gun kick control benefit by 11% and increased sprint speed penalty by 3%.
– JAK Raven Kit: Increased arm and hand damage multiplier from 1x to 1.1x (+10%).
– STB-556 (MWII): Increased maximum damage range, near-medium damage range, and medium damage range.
– Kastov 762 (MWII): Increased lower-torso damage multiplier from 0.96x to 1.1x (+15%).The gun balance changes in MW3 Multiplayer include increased damage, adjusted damage range, and alterations to damage multipliers for various weapons. For instance, the Chimera has seen a 4% increase in near-medium damage, and the Tempus Razorback has experienced an 80% increase in maximum damage range.

Similarly, the FR Avancer has had its maximum damage increased by 16%, while its maximum damage range has been reduced by 29%. The M16, on the other hand, has seen a decrease in its upper-torso, arm, and hand damage multipliers, as well as reductions in sprint to fire time and aim down sight time.

In the Battle Rifles category, the Sidewinder now has decreased recoil and gun kick while firing, while the Lachmann-762 has had its maximum damage increased by 18%, and adjustments have been made to its full-auto fire type damage multipliers. Additionally, the Cronen Squall has seen a 3% increase in maximum damage, and the FTAC Recon has experienced a 30% increase in lower-torso damage multiplier, along with reductions in aim down sight time and adjustments to full-auto fire type damage multipliers.

Regarding Submachine Guns, the WSP Swarm has received a 50% increase in maximum damage range and a 48% increase in near-medium damage range. The Fennec 45 has seen a 19% increase in maximum damage range, as well as adjustments to leg and foot damage multipliers and aim down sight time.

For Shotguns, there have been changes such as a 20% increase in medium damage range for the Expedite 12, and a 20% decrease in pellet spread while aiming down sight for the same weapon. The Bryson 890 has seen a 9% increase in rate of fire, while the Bryson 800 has experienced reductions in sprint to fire time and aim down sight time.

The Light Machine Guns category has also seen adjustments such as a 16% increase in minimum damage for the Holger 26 in MW3 Multiplayer, a 21% decrease in sprint to fire time for the DG-58 LSW, and a 14% reduction in aim down sight time for the same weapon.Attachments have seen some significant changes in the recent update. Below is the list of changes for different weapons and attachments, categorized by the type of weapon and attachment.

– Sakin MG38 (MWII)
– Lower-torso damage multiplier increased from 1x to 1.15x (+15%)
– Aim down sight time decreased from 430ms to 410ms (-5%)

– HCR 56 (MWII)
– Sprint to fire time decreased from 250ms to 225ms (-10%)
– Aim down sight time decreased from 390ms to 310ms (-21%)

Marksman Rifles

– DM56
– Sprint to fire time increased from 168ms to 199ms (+19%)

– MTZ Interceptor
– Head damage multiplier decreased from 2x to 1.62x (-19%)
– Neck damage multiplier decreased from 2x to 1.62x (-19%)

– EBR-14 (MWII)
– Sprint to fire time decreased from 270ms to 216ms (-20%)
– Aim down sight time decreased from 255ms to 240ms (-6%)

– Lockwood Mk2 (MWII)
– Incompatible Underbarrel Attachments can no longer be equipped
– Aim down sight time decreased from 250ms to 240ms (-4%)
– Hipfire spread while standing decreased by 10%

– Tempus Torrent (MWII)
– Leg damage multiplier increased from 0.95x to 1x (+5%)
– Foot damage multiplier increased from 0.95x to 1x (+5%)

– Crossbow (MWII)
– Minimum damage increased from 100 to 125 (+25%)

Sniper Rifles

– KATT-AMR
– Zang-34 Barrel: Damage range benefit decreased by 9%, bullet velocity benefit decreased by 8%

– KV Inhibitor
– Medium damage added at 129 to 61m
– Minimum damage decreased from 129 to 99 (-23%)

Handguns

– Renetti
– JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit: Optic Attachments will no longer obstruct the view while aiming down sight

– TYR
– Near-medium damage increased from 90 to 100 (+11%)
– Upper-torso damage multiplier increased from 1.3x to 1.5x (+15%)
– Trigger action delay decreased from 150ms to 90ms (-40%)
– Incompatible Chrios Holo Optic Attachment can no longer be equipped

Launchers

– Stormender
– EMP effects will now disable and/or destroy specific items mentioned

Attachments

– Corvus Torch Underbarrel Attachment is now available for many Assault Rifles and Battle Rifles
– Lasers and Underbarrels will no longer visibly overlap
– View is no longer obstructed in Tac-Stance while the KR Intlas LSJ-3 Optic Attachment is equipped

MW3 Multiplayer Perks

  • Tac Mask (Gear)
    • Added immunity to enemy EMP effects from the Stormender (Launcher).
  • Bone Conduction Headset (Gear)
    • Revised description to better reflect its existing effects.
      • Reduces player combat and environmental sounds to allow improved focus on hearing other footsteps.
  • Signal Jammer (Gear)
    • Addressed an issue that prevented proper functionality while equipped with the Engineer Vest.

MW3 Multiplayer Equipment

  • Thermobaric Grenade (Lethal)
    • Increased minimum explosive damage from 25 to 75 (+200%).

MW3 Multiplayer Field Upgrades

  • Trophy System
    • Enemy Cruise Missile (Killstreak) will no longer be targeted and destroyed.
  • A.C.S.
    • Addressed an issue that prevented objectives from being captured in Hardcore game modes.
  • Suppression Mine
    • Visual effects are no longer activated for the player who deployed the mine.

MW3 Multiplayer Killstreaks

  • SAM Turret
    • Decreased lock-on delay from 3s to 2s (-33%).
    • Increased cooldown between missiles from 1.25s to 1.75s (+40%).
    • Adjusted number of missiles required to destroy multiple Killstreaks.
      • VTOL Jet: 4 missiles, up from 3
      • Gunship: 5 missiles, up from 3
      • Chopper Gunner: 4 missiles, up from 3
    • Advanced UAV (Killstreak) will no longer be targeted and destroyed.
  • Remote Turret
    • Dying while attempting to control the turret will no longer prevent the player from controlling it upon subsequent attempts.
  • Overwatch Helo
    • 100 XP and 75 Score are now awarded upon destruction.
  • EMP
    • Announcer voiceline will now play upon enemy usage.
    • Destroyed Equipment and Killstreaks will no longer grant Killstreak progress.
  • Swarm
    • Announcer voiceline will now play upon enemy usage.
