Fortnite enthusiasts looking to snag some additional in-game loot this season are in for a treat. The latest update in Chapter 5, Season 3 ushers in the Wastelander Challenges, a series of adrenaline-pumping quests. Brace yourself as you navigate through these demanding challenges to earn exclusive rewards, but keep in mind, only a well-earned Victory Royale will unlock your success here.

In a previous season, Fortnite introduced secret achievements, a feature they’ve expanded in this new chapter. These newly added tasks allow players to activate challenges in-game and keep an eye on their status. Successful completion of a challenge for the first time gifts players with the Wastelander’s Mark wrap, adding a unique flare to your collection.

Embark on Fortnite’s Latest and Greatest Challenges

Ready for a hardcore challenge? Seek out a Wasteland Beacon positioned around the island. There are currently four of these beacons located in key places around the map for Chapter 5, Season 3, which should be activated before the second storm circle begins closing in. Their exact positions are as follows:

  • Rebel’s Roost
  • Southeast of Brutal Beachhead
  • South of Reckless Railways
  • Southeast of Classy Courts

If you decide to take on a Wastelander Quest, it will stay in place throughout your entire match. Be sure to gear up with powerful weapons and plenty of health items before activating a beacon. Challenges are given out randomly; our list below gives you the full scope.

Check out the list of available Wastelander Challenges in Fortnite:

  • The Ground Is Lava: Touching the ground causes damage.
  • Burnin’ Hot Items: You are hurt when picking up items.
  • Jammed Clips: Weapons reloading is disabled.
  • Perma-Damage: You cannot use items to restore health or shields.
  • Full Throttle: Being stationary leads to damage.
  • Unshielded: You cannot gain shields.

Keep in mind, to claim the wrap reward, you must emerge victorious in a game while facing an active Wastelander Quest. Additionally, you’ll gain a substantial amount of extra experience points, which will fast-track your progress through the Battle Pass.
