Optimization

  • Reverted the optimization of the navmesh to avoid potential hiccups and micro-stutters.
  • Revised some global textures to reduce memory usage without affecting visual quality.
  • Optimized and adjusted the collisions within a secret arena at Bramis Castle.
  • Improved game thread performance for calculating navmesh.

Multiplayer

  • Fixed an issue where the client could lose the ability to move under certain conditions.
  • Ensured health, mana, and sanguinarixes are refreshed when joining coop or PvP, and when returning to your own world. Invaders will have half of their sanguinarixes when they spawn to avoid endless battles.

AI

  • Ruiners now have a higher chance to trigger their fearful charge.
  • Ruiners now aim their shield fire attack at players more accurately.
  • Parasites now follow their hosts more quickly to prevent them from straying too far when the player pulls the host far away. If blocked, they will teleport to the host to assist players who are siphoning them by staying close.
  • Fixed an issue where Pilgrim’s Perch pilgrims could sometimes shoot through certain structures.

Boss

  • Fixed an issue where Reinhold’s stab attack would propel the player in a random direction.
  • Ensured Menacious Visage reacts correctly with the camera when the player is positioned between the boss and the camera.

Level Design

  • Fixed an exploit in a puzzle involving umbral platforms at the Empyrean.
  • Adjusted a streaming volume in Pilgrim’s Perch to ensure assets don’t appear too late for the player.
  • Improved the region scalars of enemies behind the frozen door to better match the player’s level.
  • Revised obstacles in one of the shortcuts to allow crossing by simply raising the lamp, instead of going through the Umbral fully.
  • Slightly adjusted the backstab tutorial to prevent the enemy from occasionally going through the fence.

Collisions

  • Reviewed and updated the collisions of two umbral walls in Lower Calrath.
  • Improved various ramps and staircases for smoother navigation.
  • Fixed two ground tiles that were causing issues with Delyth’s attacks.
  • Addressed collision issues in the Deep Forest to prevent enemies from getting stuck.
  • Fixed collision issues in the Deep Forest to improve player navigation.
  • Adjusted collisions in Upper Calrath to provide smoother player navigation and eliminate small steps.
  • Improved collisions in Lower Calrath’s Alehouse to better support jumping gameplay and prevent falling off.
  • Implemented multiple collision fixes in Lower Calrath to ensure AI navigation works correctly.
  • Added proper collisions to a rock that previously lacked them.

Visuals

  • Adjusted several armor sets, including the Marksman Armour, Sin-Piercer belt, and Condemned chest, to fix minor clipping issues when using extreme character sizes.
  • Further optimized and enhanced fire decals in Lower Calrath.
  • Fixed a bush clipping through a wall in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers.
  • Adjusted camera vibrations on some elevators to reduce exaggerated shakes.
  • Fixed a soulflayable spirit that was hard to hit due to the surrounding art.

UI

  • Fixed a display issue for stackable items sold in vendors where it could show a higher number than the available purchaseable amount after going through an anchor once.
  • Improved navigation on Faction Shrines with a gamepad.
  • Increased the password limit for multiplayer to 8 characters.
  • Removed a prompt warning of the presence of an umbral path from a boss arena, which now only appears after the fight is over.
  • Fixed interact prompts sometimes not displaying the correct keybinding.

Steam Deck

  • Fixing the red eye issue on the Steam Deck is proving to be more challenging than initially expected, and VALVE is assisting with the fix. In the meantime, the Scarlet Shadow will not spawn until the issue is resolved.
